OK, long post of random stuff:

FINALLY finished this quilt. I've been collecting the solid fabrics for this quilt since about 2002. Yes, 2002. They're Kaffe Fassett's "shot cotton" solids. The pattern is his too, "Birdboxes". I'm really pleased with how it came out. I'll include a bigger shot of it in a future post.

I've been bit by the embroidering bug. Spencer got a couple new onesies, and Riley got a hat (below). I'm also working on a tee for Riley. Besides, what else can you really sew for boys?

Some "art" for the sewing room, inspired by an anthropologie display a few years (ok, like 5 or 6 years)back.

Loving:: this fun lady my mom scored at a garage sale! The lady she bought it from had a whole story of how her husband won this gal while he was in WWII, playing cards. Too cool - a great piece with a story. Love it.

Love the new pictures! And I'm actually working on a very similar quilt with some Kaffe solids....though mine is mostly gray for the solid pieces. But I ran out of that, so I might do some other shade for the rest.

Great pictures! Can't believe how the boys are so grown up, and how do you have time for all these projects?
